2000-D South Carolina Quarter
The South Carolina State Quarter was released in 2000 as the eighth coin of the 50 State Quarters Program. The obverse of the coin was designed by William Cousins after John Flanagan. The reverse of the coin was designed by Thomas D. Rogers Sr. The reverse design features an outline of the South Carolina with a collection of symbols related to the state. This includes the state tree, state bird, and state flower.
