2002 Ohio Quarter
The Ohio State Quarter was released in 2002 as the seventeenth coin of the 50 State Quarters Program. The obverse of the coin was designed by William Cousins after John Flanagan. The reverse of the coin was designed by Donna Weaver. The reverse design features an outline of Ohio, an early aircraft and an astronaut. The design highlights the fact that Orville Wright, Neil Armstrong, and John Glenn were all born in Ohio.
