Montana Quarter

2007 Montana Quarter
The Montana State Quarter was released in 2007 as the forty first coin of the 50 State Quarters Program. The obverse of the coin was designed by William Cousins after John Flanagan. The reverse of the coin was designed by Don Everhart. The reverse design features a bison skull above the Montana landscape. The bison skull is a sacred symbol for many of Montana’s Native American tribes.

An ominous and striking design to see, and with a touch of symmetry, Montana’s quarter suggests they’re “not for the faint of heart”.
Ratings:What can I say about a dead Bison Quarter? The series in general has been disappointing from the start but I have to commend this series for bringing in a new generation of collector’s to the hobby.
