Kansas Quarter

2005 Minnesota Quarter
The Kansas State Quarter was released in 2005 as the thirty fourth coin of the 50 State Quarters Program. The obverse of the coin was designed by William Cousins after John Flanagan. The reverse of the coin was designed by Norman E. Nemeth. The reverse design features a buffalo and sunflowers, which are respectively the state animal and state flower of Kansas.
