The James K. Polk Presidential Dollar will be released in 2009 as the eleventh coin of the Presidential Dollar Program. James K. Polk was the 11th President of the United States, serving from 1845 to 1849. The obverse of the coin was designed by Susan Gamble and sculpted by Charles Vickers. The reverse design featuring the Statue of Liberty was designed and sculpted by Don Everhart.
