2004 Iowa Quarter
The Iowa State Quarter was released in 2004 as the twenty ninth coin of the 50 State Quarters Program. The obverse of the coin was designed by William Cousins after John Flanagan. The reverse of the coin was designed by John Mercanti after a Grant Wood painting. The reverse design is based on the Grant Wood painting titled “Arbor Day.”
