Bad… No originality, no creativity. Vets should have better. Needs to go back to the drawing board…
Ratings:I like the idea of the coin however I feel you left us NAVY veterans that are disabled for life too. Also, I feel the Mint should give us Disabled Vets for Lifr priority when ordering this coin since it’s designed for vets such a I am. Thanks
Ratings:This coin is an embaressment and a disgrace. Words such as: “horrible, pathetic, stupid, ugly, awful, bad, shameful, and offensive” can best be used to describe this terrible coin.
I can think of 999,999,999 better ideas for a coin to HONOR disabled veterans than this off the top of my head.
This is the worst designed coin in United States Mint HISTORY. Ever.
The disabled veterans deserve to be honored, and this coin is the definition of failure in that department.
Every person who helped get this coin design put into production needs to be fired and sent to some country like France, or, even better - IRAQ.
Ratings:As a Korean War vet. who had many friends severly wounded, I find this coin a pathetic, ill-understanding, disgraceful illustration of the subject. Again another example of the disaster the Mint has become under its current leadership.
Ratings:Forget Me Not’s? Overly sentimental, too sugary.
There must be something better than the obvious pathos overkill which adequately portrays our compassion for the disabled vet.
Back to the drawing board.
Ratings:This coin is just WEAK. Tom Hanks and Ronnie Howard would have done a better job than this for combat disabled. The coin lacks any deep historical wording or artistic depiction for the subject at hand.
Ratings:The design of this coin is hideous!! Are you sure this “honors” our disabled veterans, or is an insult to them?? I would be insulted to have something this ugly honoring my service!!
What happened to the so-called artist designs that were supposed to come out of the Mint???? This is pathetic……
Ratings:The obverse is fair. Since coin is to owner the disabled, it should have highlighted the soldier with his missing leg in the center. The reverse is a horrid choice. The speech by Lincoln was by far a better choice. In fact, that reverse would have made this a prized coin.
Ratings:I think the design lacks originality, is needs to be sent back. Is this the best they came come up with? Where are the designs the inspire? Whatever process is used to select these designs needs to be changed.
Ratings:Excellent obverse design, but the reverse lacks originality and/or creativity. Its message is best including on the Mint’s packaging for the coin. Collectible value will depend upon the mintage and silver content, so it’s really too soon to tell.
