California Quarter

2005 California Quarter
The California State Quarter was released in 2005 as the thirty first coin of the 50 State Quarters Program. The obverse of the coin was designed by William Cousins after John Flanagan. The reverse of the coin was designed by Garrett Burke and engraved by Don Everhart. The reverse design features John Muir, a naturalist and conservatoinist. He overlooks Yosemite Valley’s Half Dome with a soaring California condor.
