The Abigail Fillmore First Spouse Gold Coin will be the fourteenth release of the First Spouse Gold Coin Program and the first for the year 2010. She served as the First Lady during the Presidency of her husband Millard Fillmore. The obverse of the coin features a portrait her portrait and the reverse shows her shelving books in a library. Her most lasting contribution was her establishment of a permanent White House library. The obverse was designed and sculpted by Phebe Hemphill and the reverse was designed by Susan Gamble and sculpted by Joseph Menna.
